New Jack City (aka Sawtooth Canyon) is a sport climbing playground just a few miles outside of Barstow, California. New Jack City has over 450 sport climbs varying from 5.6 to 5.13 on a volcanic like metamorphic rock.

This is another California desert gem that we weren't really expecting to be as amazing as it is. Ladder Canyon is dubbed California’s best slot canyon it’s the first we've seen in Cali so we give it two thumbs up!

Alabama Hills, the Best Free Camping?
Alabama Hills sits at the base of the tallest mountain in California, Mount Whitney. This place has mind blowing free camping on BLM land. This is a climber haven.
